In the event of a divorce or separation, the financial impact of such an event must be considered. Thus, an independent business valuation report may be required to establish the net assets of one or both spouses for the purposes of separating the family patrimony.
Where one or both spouses have a company, an independent business valuation report may be required to establish the Fair Market Value of the corporation(s) for the purpose of separating the family assets.
When one or both spouses have a company, an independent standardized or notional income assessment report may be required to establish the actual disposable income of one or both spouses for support purposes.
