What sets us apart?
The CBV designation is the standard in Canada for business valuation. CBVs are recognized by banks, investors and the Court in contentious contexts. In addition, we offer multidisciplinary services not only in business valuation, but also in business intelligence and value creation. Finally, we are an affordable boutique firm.
How long does it take to produce a report?
Our business valuation or consulting reports can be completed within reasonable timeframes. We follow a process that begins with the receipt of documents and company information. This first step will define the deadline for receipt of the final report. The business owner must therefore make himself available as soon as the mandate is accepted. Normally, a report can be completed within 2 to 5 weeks.
Which report to choose?
"The standards of the Institute of CBV provide for three types of valuation reports (comprehensive valuation report, valuation report on an estimate of value and valuation report on value calculations) which differ from each other in the scope of the work behind them, the amount of information provided and the level of assurance provided by the conclusion. The table below summarizes the extent of review, analysis, and corroboration of significant relevant information for each of the three types of valuation reports. The fee varies depending on the type of report, with the value calculation being the least expensive and the comprehensive report being the most expensive.
Typically a value calculation (least expensive report) is sufficient in the majority of cases. Estimation and exhaustive reports are required in litigious or potentially litigious situations".
